A four-year-old child has been reported
missing in Zuba, Abuja.
The child identified as Abba Auwal Baba, went
missing on Tuesday, January 16 at about 4:00pm.
A residences of the area, who spoke to
Daily Trust, said the child went out to play around the central mosque area
after he returned from school but did not return home.
According to Abdullahi, some residents around
the central mosque said they saw a woman with the child, but did not suspect
her of abduction.
Parents of the missing child have reported the
incident to the police and vigilantes.
The Sarkin Pada of the Agora of Zuba palace,
Alhaji Muhammed Murtala, who confirmed the incident said he received information
about the missing child when he left the palace on his way home.
“But I will try to reach out to the parents of
the missing child to get more details about the incident,” he said.
When contacted, the FCT police command
spokesman, DSP Anjuguri Manzah, confirmed that there was a report of a missing
child at Zuba police division.
He said the police were investigating the
recurring incidents of missing children in the area.
Meanwhile, the boy's uncle Ahmad Danbaba
posted his photo taken on Facebook.
"My little nephew Abba Auwal Baba, was
stolen at Zuba yesterday! Your prayers is needed please. May Allah bring him
and other kids that are stolen back safely."
