The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board
(JAMB) has proposed March 9 – 17, 2018 as the date for examination for
candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria
JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq
Oloyede, disclosed this on Wednesday in Abuja while briefing stakeholders on
the board’s programmes for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination
(UTME).
Professor Oloyede said they have
also pencilled down 620 computer based centres across the country for
registration of candidates, adding that not all would be accrediting for the
exam.
He further announced that the sales
of forms would commence on November 27, 2017, and end on January 22, 2018.
Jamb has also proposed January 22 –
27, 2018 for interested candidates willing to take part in its mock
examination, although it would be optional.
According to Oloyede, the mock
examination would start the same date the sales of form ends.
He, however, warned against any form
of malpractices, saying eyeglasses would be thoroughly examined before
candidates are allowed into the examination hall.
