A policeman, Inusa Saidu Biu, has
allegedly threatened to kill 200 people in case President Muhammadu Buhari
dies. Biu, who hails from Biu Local Government Area of Borno State, issued the
threat on his Facebook wall.
The policeman alleged that the
President was earlier poisoned but was saved by God. Biu described Buhari as a
cat with nine lives. “After they poisoned him, God did not allow him to die,
Buhari, the cat with nine lives. Now they want you to resign so that they can
continue to steal our yam? No way.
Your enemies will die like
mosquitoes before you, including those commenting negatively… If Buhari dies, I
promise to kill 200 people.” By the time New Telegraph visited his wall latter,
the post has been taken down. But the post did not go down well with the
public, some of who said those 200 people he targeted would be members of his
family and relations.
But reacting to this assertion in
a statement, the Force Police Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Taiwo Mushood, a
Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), said the issue was being investigated.
According to him, the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has ordered
investigation into the allegation
