OBIANO’LL WIN ANAMBRA AGAIN —APGA CHIEFTAIN

UMUAHIA — AHEAD of the November 2017 governorship election in Anambra State, Deputy National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Mr. Uchenna Okogbuo, has predicted victory for the party, saying that Governor Willie Obiano has done well to merit the anticipated victory.

Teads Okogbuo who spoke from his Uzuakoli country home in Bende council area of Abia State, argued that with the good performance of Governor Obiano, the party has no fear that victory would come its way during the election. Gov. Obiano “We are expecting a 99 percent vote for Obiano in that election because he is not only a committed governor, but has also become an acceptable leader.

His people love him,” the APGA chieftain said. Okogbuo said one of the things going in favour of Obiano is that he is building on solid foundations and structures built by his predecessors in office which he said Anambra people are happy about.

He commended former Governors Chris Ngige and Peter Obi for identifying and addressing the major challenges facing the state which he said created consistency in the development of the state. “Obiano is building on what they left behind and the people are happy for that.

The electorates are happy with him, expectedly, his re-election bid will be smooth”, he noted. According to Okogbuo, the combined efforts of Ngige, Obi and Obiano have positively changed the development narratives in Anambra State, making the state a model for unhindered economic development in the country today.

He dismissed the fear that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, at the federal level would use security agencies to hijack the election, saying the people would resist such move.
