The National
Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) will award various degree certificates to
5,975 at its 6th convocation ceremony in Abuja. Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdallah
Uba Adamu made the remarks at a media conference yesterday.
Besides, he
said, the law establishing the university will be amended by the Senate to
expunge the phrase which said the university will provide knowledge through
‘correspondence’ and replaced it with ‘Open Distance Learning (ODL).’
He said law
students from the university will attend law schools and graduates will be
mobilized for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) after the amendment.
